We hiked Kaunala Loop trail on Sunday. It was pretty hard on all of us. Cheyenne started to cry and she demanded to turn around and go back home. There was a lot of climbing up on that trail, and it was hot and humid outside. Cheyenne fell down, Gipsy fell down and Bret also fell down, he actually did the splits, outch!!! We discovered the softest trees ever on this hike. Those trees had a really soft bark. It felt weird touching soft trees. Gipsy told me that those trees are called paper trees, seems logical. It almost seemed like you would not need an ax to chop down a paper tree but just lots of bark peeling patience.
Joshua just turned 18 on Saturday, congratz on being a grownup. Gipsy is pretty upset about Joshua being 18; she does not want him to be an adult. Do not ask me why, because I am clueless. I have been trying to put in pictures from the hike but I have not been able to. Will try again later.
