Earthquake

Sunday was an interesting day from the start. I and Cheyenne were lying on the couch watching television when the couch started to shake. I looked at Chey and asked, “Why is the couch shaking?” She just kept watching her show, shrugged her shoulders and said, “I don’t know.” Then it dawned on me, an earthquake that’s what all the shaking was about. I urgently pushed on Cheyenne, “Get up, get up!” I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the doorway, and I called Gipsy over to us.

After the ground calmed down I went upstairs to wake Bret up, but he was awake already. “That was cool, did you feel it?” He asked me with a big grin on his face. A minute later the whole house was shaking again. Then we lost power and it was gone all morning, all day and a part of the evening.

Luckily no one was seriously injured or killed during or after the earthquake. I guess the main worry here in Hawaii was tsunami. We did not get one of those so our feet are dry, well except for the rain we have been having. Today is sunny so no more rain either.
